Present Govt has totally ignored displaced Pandits, their demands: Khosa

JAMMU, Dec 26: Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) has shown its total dismay over the attitude of Union Government as well as UT administration towards Kashmiri Pandits in general and the members of community who are leading an exiled life for over last 33 years outside Valley in particular.
Talking to reporters here ,today president KPS K K Khosa said community fails to understand what sin it has committed for which it is being punished by a political dispensation whom it has trusted most over the years.
Khosa said the community had pinned high hopes in present dispensation at Centre but they all have been dashed to ground. “Not to speak of resolving our issues or taking a concrete step on our rehabilitation in Valley the present Government at Delhi did not accept our repeated pleas to give an audience to community leadership to listen our woes and problems.” Click here to watch video
Khosa wanted to know how long community will lead a refugees life in their own country. Thirty three years is half portion of one’s life and during last 33 years GoI has failed to rehabilitate the community in Kashmir Valley.
He said Government has totally ignored the exiled community.”We demanded time six times to meet the Government but never allowed to meet. We don’t know what is our fault or what sin we have committed”. This Government has no doubt taken steps to provide justice to every section of society except us despite the fact our issue needs first and foremost attention”, he added.
Expressing serious concern over plight of PM package employees he said on the one handthat Lt Governor himself admitted targetted killings took place in Valley and on the other he says normalcy is in Valley. “This is totally contradiction if targetted killings are taking place then how can we claim about normalcy”, he added.
Khosa said Government is coercing package employees to join their duties in Valley with out taking steps for their safety and security. Their salaries were stopped and they are facing hardships, he aaded.
Khosa made it clear that despite there are various organisation but they are ideologically one and there are no differences among them. The Government is unnecessarily trying to give an impression the Pandits have many organisations, he added.
