JAMMU, Nov 27: The Business School (TBS), University of Jammu, has been honored with the prestigious Dewang Mehta Business Schools Award for the year 2012 for showing excellence in the field of education as well as for The B-School Leadership at the 20th Business School Affair, India’s largest Business School Award platform, in a ceremony held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on November 24, 2012.
The awards which are given in recognition of the Leadership, Development, Innovation and Industry Interfaces of The Business Schools across India also included renowned and prestigious institutions like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIM Kazikode, IIFT New Delhi, FORE Business School, Jamna Lal Bajaj Institute Mumbai, Narsingh Mohanji Institute of Management, IBS Hyderabad, Great Lakes Chennai etc.
The award was handed over to Prof MPS Ishar, Vice-Chancellor University of Jammu by the students and the faculty members of TBS.
Professor Ishar, while interacting with the students and faculty members of The Business School who were present on the occasion in his office chambers disclosed that the Business School Affaire Awards are given every year to recognize the efforts of institutions imparting professional education for coming up with best practices in Innovation, Leadership, Academic Inputs, Industry Interface, Research etc.
Professor Versha Mehta, Director The Business School, Jammu who had been deputed to receive the award at the ceremony at Mumbai on behalf of the university presented vote of thanks.
