JAMMU, Aug 30: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Director Health Services, Jammu Dr. Madhu Khullar here today which was attended by representatives from GOI, Dr. Kalpana Baruah, Joint Director, Dte, of NVBDCP Delhi (Nodal Officer for J&K) with Dr. Shazia Wafai, Regional Director (GOI) of H & F. W. , Srinagar.
All the Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents of District Hospitals of Jammu province with District Malaria Officers (DVBDO) attended the meeting convened to review prevention and control of dengue and vector borne diseases.
The State Programme Officer, Dr. Kuldip Kesar, highlighted the NVBDCP programme in the State with epidemiological data and financial status.
Joint Director Dr. Kalpana Baruah stressed the participants to take the dengue and other vector borne diseases on priority basis for its prevention and control. She also visited the rural areas of Jammu district alongwith the Regional Director, Dr. Kuldip Kesar (S.P.O) and Dr. Javed Chib, CMO Jammu to take stock of progress of implementation of the national programme.
