JAMMU, Oct 13: The former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today visited Ward No 42, Nanak Nagar and took stock of the ongoing development works there. He also met with people of the area and listened to their grievances related to basic amenities.
Kavinder said that successive Governments have failed to initiate any step for the development of J&K and the people were deprived of basic amenities like drinking water, regular power supply and good road network. He said that on one side there are parties which have been exposed badly for continuously deceiving the common masses for years together and on the other it is BJP which has a cadre from top to bottom working day and night only to satiate the aspirations of people and addressing their issues which were earlier disregarded and misused for petty political gains by dynastic rulers.
The senior BJP sought cooperation of the people in realizing the dream of making the J&K prosperous while counting the accomplishments of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Government in the J&K UT and country.
He, while making dig at opposition parties especially National Conference, (NC) said in desperation the party leadership is giving statements without applying their mind. He said NC and Congress were responsible for present mess in J&K and it was the result of their wrong policies that J&K is in turmoil for over last three decades now with thousands of people losing their lives while thousands of families becoming refugees.
He said both NC and Congress misled the people of J&K and played the politics of love and hate for their vested interests which were inimical to national interests at large. Kavinder appealed the people to isolate these parties and strengthen the Modi Government for their bright future and prosperity of the J&K
