PREWA demands revision in Welfare Fund Rules

JAMMU, Oct 9: J&K Prison Retired Employees Welfare Association (PREWA) has demanded revision in Welfare Fund Rules of Prison Department.
In a handout Krishan Singh, PREWA president has demanded hike in the hardship and ration allowance on the pattern of police department.
He also demanded amendment in rules pertaining to combination of ministerial and other staff with executive cadre putting in the ranks and pay scales on police pattern as certain facilities have been provided to the prison personnel are also available to their counterparts in the police department.
Singh further demanded hike in medical allowance and health insurance cover to the pensioners of prison department with affordable premium.
He said that they have also met V.K Singh, DGP Prisons in this regard who has assured sympathetic consideration of the demands.
