PREWA discusses demands

JAMMU, Aug 18: The J&K Prisons Retired Employees Welfare Association (PREWA) made a strong plea to the Government for removing disparities in welfare rules and other amentities and facilities between retired and serving employees of Prison Department (both Gazetted and non-Gezetted),.
Krishan Singh, president of PREWA said that the Chief Minister recently announced enhancement of ration money of police personnel and for removing pay anomalies of head constables and ASI but did not mention Prison Personnel who too are in the same predicament and thus deserve equal attention.
Krishan Singh also reiterated the demand for release of 10 % DA instalment from January 2014. Payment of remaining amount of 6th CPC arrears to the pensioners and      employees immediately as he said  that they are unduly facing and financial hardship due heavy spurt in prices of essential commodities.
