PREWA raises demands

JAMMU, June 3: Jammu and Kashmir Prisons Retired Employees Welfare Association (PREWA) has strongly urged the Government to release 10% DA installment from January 2014 and balance 6th CPC arrears in respect of State Pensioners and employees at the earliest.
Krishen Singh, PREWA, president said that the State Government is unfairly silent over afore mentioned and several others demands due to which resentment is growing which they display clearly through massive rally recently organized.
The demands raised included enhancement of monthly medical allowance to Rs 1000, raising pension by 20 percent and above after 80 years of age on Central pattern and restoration of commutted pension after 12 instead of 15 years was reiterated by the association.
PREWA president further sought consideration of other demands of the association.
