NEW DELHI, Sept 24: President Pranab Mukherjee has given his assent to three Bills, including the Wakf (Amendment) Bill, 2013, the Representation of people (Amendment) Bill, 2013 and the Parliament (Prevention of Disqualification) Amendment Bill, 2013, a statement by the Ministry of Law and Justice said today.
“The Wakf (Amendment) Bill, 2013 has received the assent of the President. It has now been published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-1, dated the September 23, 2013 as Act No. 27 of 2013.
“The Representation of People (Amendment) Bill, 2013 has received the assent of the President of India.
“It has now been published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-1, dated the September 23, 2013 as Act No. 29 of 2013.
“The Parliament (Prevention of Disqualification) Amendment Bill, 2013 has received the assent of the President of India.
“It has now been published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-1, dated the September 23, 2013 as Act No. 28 of 2013,” the statement by the Ministry said.
The three Bills had been passed by Parliament during the just concluded Monsoon session. (UNI)
