NEW DELHI: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday released a compilation of selected speeches of President Ram Nath Kovind in Hindi and English, saying the collection of President’s speeches were a reflection on India and its place in the world.
Quoting the President as asking ”Are we putting the public in the Republic?”, he praised the President’s vision and thoughts as brought out in his speeches, which covered a wide range of topics, but mostly talked about the common man.
He said the President in his speeches spoke about inclusiveness, which was the need for India. Mr Kovind had called for implementation of the Anti-Defection Law. Similarly, he was of the view that integrity of judiciary was essential. Special courts could be set up to fast track cases.
The President was also firm that those in leadership positions had greater responsibilities, Mr Naidu said. ”I’m really privileged to release the books,” said the Vice President as he released the books ‘The Republican Ethic’ & ‘Loktantra ke Swar’, which are a compilation of selected speeches of the President at Vigyan Bhawan here, including the digital version.
