NEW DELHI, Jan 23: President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu paid homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 122nd birth anniversary today.
Mr Kovind paid floral tributes in front of a portrait of Netaji at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Mr Naidu also paid homage to Netaji and took to micro-blogging site and said, ”He believed that military and spiritual training were important to serve the Motherland. His courage and patriotism will continue to inspire every Indian in building a strong and prosperous India.”
”I join my fellow countrymen in paying tributes to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his Jayanti today. He was a stalwart of the freedom struggle and a great nationalist,” Mr Naidu added. (UNI)
