JAMMU, Feb 17: Director School Education, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh has placed Principal of Higher Secondary School, Panchari, Pawan Kumar Singh Salathia, under suspension and attached him with State Institute of Education, Jammu.
The suspension was ordered on allegations of embezzlement of local funds, unauthorized absence, insubordination and creating indiscipline in the school.
The Director has further ordered a Preliminary Enquiry into the matter for which the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur has been requested to appoint a senior officer as Enquiry Officer.
The Enquiry Officer has been asked to furnish his report by or before February 28, enabling the Department to take further action. Earlier, the DC Udhampur had also requested Education Department to act against the Principal on grounds of indiscipline but no significant action was taken.
