JAMMU, Sept 8: For bringing improvement in the academic standard and teaching-learning process by experts, the School Education Department today ordered that Lecturers shall take classes of 9th and 10th standard also while the Principals and Headmasters shall teach at least two classes daily in their subject of interest.
Two separate orders in this regard were issued today by the School Education Department.
“It is impressed upon Lecturers of School Education Department to exuberantly involve themselves in teaching at 9th and 10th level besides at the +2 level,” reads an order, claiming that this way the students will be exposed to qualified and experienced staff for competing at the national level in various competitive exams.
Warning that non-compliance shall be viewed seriously, the order further says that the Head of institutions and lecturers shall comply these instructions in letter and spirit and report in this regard shall be submitted by concerned Chief Education Officers on monthly basis.
According to a separate order, Principals and Headmasters have been directed to be part of the daily time table and teach at least two classes daily in their subject of interest.
“These instructions shall be strictly complied with and all the CEOs are directed to monitor the implementation of these instructions personally and submit report in this regard on monthly basis,” reads the order.
