JAMMU, Sept 8: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Pritam Singh and State Executive Member of JKPCC here today inaugurated lane and drain works in Deep Nagar area of his Ward 55.
The work shall be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 12 lakh and the lanes and drains in the area were in dilapidated condition since long.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor appealed the general public to cooperate JMC in various development works undertaken in Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in their routine work and shun the habit of throwing garbage and filth in public drains and lanes.
Pritam Singh stressed on adopting the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at household level so that Jammu can be made neat and clean city.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Omkar Singh, Manjeet Singh, Charanjit Singh, Kulwant Mehra, Sarvan Sharma and others.
