UDHAMPUR, Sept 10: Municipal Councilor, Priti Khajuria of Ward number 1 along with Vaishno Devi here today inaugurated a newly tiled lane at Bharat Nagar, Ambedkar Chowk.
The tile work has been completed at an expenditure of Rs. 12 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Priti said that the lane was unpaved for the last 20 years and people especially school going children and elders faced many problems while walking on the muddy track.
“Since I was elected as a Councilor, I tried to get as much works done in my Ward as was possible in the given time to live up to the expectations of the Ward residents,” she maintained.
The Councillor claimed that if government does not provide sufficient funds to big Wards as per the population and area, then pace of development slows down.
A large number of people from the area were present on the occasion.
