Private schools granted affiliation extension by JKBOSE

JAMMU, June 16: Affiliation Committee of J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) today granted extension to private schools.
A meeting of the Affiliation Committee was held under the chairmanship of Prof Veena Pandita, Chairperson JKBOSE, through video conferencing. The Agenda of meeting was presented by Riyaz Ahmad, Secretary J&K BOSE.
A total of 211 cases of Private Academic Institution across the J&K UT were considered by the Committee for extension and upgradation, which included 64 cases of Kashmir Division and 147 cases of Jammu Division.
The extension and upgradation cases, which were complete in all respects were granted BOSE affiliation for a period of five years and two years respectively. The extension cases which were having minor deficiencies were granted extension for five years subject to the condition of fulfillment of deficiencies within three months. The upgradation cases which were having minor deficiencies were granted upgradation in phased manner to enroll the students for class 9th or 11th as the case may be and 10th or 12th in the second session subject to fulfillment of deficiencies.
The meeting was also attended by Dr Farooq Ahmad Peer, Director Academics JKBOSE; Mohd Younis Malik, Director School Education Kashmir; Anuradlia Gupta, Director School Education, Jammu; Nasecr Ahmad Wani, Additional Secretary School Education Department, Civil Secretariat Srinagar; Prof Aijaz Ahmad Hakak, Joint Secretary General JKBOSE -JD; Tripta Dogra, Joint Secretary General-JKBOSE -JD; Naseer Ahmad Malik, Chief Education Officer Srinagar; Shafaqat Javeed Chib, Principal SRML HSS Jammu and members from School Education Department of Kashmir and Jammu.
