To lodge their resentment against the alleged dictatorial attitude of the Government as well as JKBOSE, owners of these private schools have unanimously decided to hold strong protest in front of the Board office in Jammu on January 11.
This was announced during a press conference, here today, under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Association (JKPSA). The Association appealed to the school owners, drivers, cleaners and all the stakeholders to assemble in front of JK BOSE Office Jammu at 11am on January 10, 2024 to register resentment against the wrong policies of Board and School Education Department.
Talking to media persons, Deepak Handa, Senior vice-President of the JKPSA Central Body, said that tagging of board classes i. e. 10th,11th and 12th of private schools with the nearby Government schools at closure of academic session 2023-24 was irrational as such type of act by the BOSE will make schools defunct even for class 1st to 8th.
He condemned such malafied intention of the J&K Govt as it will ruin the private school owners and will also create a worrisome condition for those who are solely dependent on the private schools. “With such wrong policies, thousands of the educated youth who are serving as teachers and ministerial staff in these private schools will become jobless,” he added.
JKPSA Jammu Rural district president, Lal Chand and Subash Chib, president Jammu Urban, lamented that the J&K Board of School Education has established a new precedence of tagging the private schools not only those which are constructed on the state land but also those private schools which are constructed even on their own land. The Government has no vision for the easy disposal of recognition through single window clearance system, they added.
Maitree Jain, member Central Executive Body, alleged that the Government was hell bent upon shutting down the small schools by putting number of complicated conditions on them.
In district Samba, similar press conference was addressed by Gourav Charak along with other members of J&K Private Schools Association.
