JAMMU Sept 14: Former Minister, spokesperson & prabhari, BJP Mahila Morcha, Priya Sethi met Governor, Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Sethi was accompanied by the deputation of Home Guard Association J&K led by its president Kamala Sharma and apprised Governor about the issues relating to the Home Guards of J&K who are appealing Government for implementation of SC directions issued on 11.03.2015Which has not been implemented in Jammu and Kashmir along with the demand that Home Guards be called on duty for full year instead for nine days in a month as in other States and UT’s of India
Sethi congratulated the Governor for the bold decision taken by the Centre for abrogation of Article 370.
Former Minister discussed the issues of electricity in Jammu city these days which remained disrupted for 5-8 hours for the last several weeks that too in hot weather conditions.
Long power cuts, low voltage has made public life horrible and even our children are facing lot of difficulties because of these long power cuts.
Governor listened the former Minister & delegation patiently and assured that genuine demands will be met & appreciated the zeal and devotion of Sethi for ensuring public welfare and urged to continue her sustained endeavours in this regard.
