JAMMU, Sept 18: Descri-bing love and compassion for all humans as true message of religion, Minister of State for Education, Information and Culture Priya Sethi today said the age old traditions of the land which have been preached by the great seers and saints promote mutual co-existence and believe in the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
“Our holy scriptures guide us to follow the path of truth, selfless living and devotion to the almighty and by following these teachings we can make the world around us a better place to live,” she added.
The Minister was chief guest at the third Geeta Gyan, Bharam Vidya Parvachan Saptah organised by Jai Krishni Dharamik Yuva Dant Mandal, here at Agarwal Sabha today.
Senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi was co-chief guest at the religious flag hosting ceremony.
The annual event attended by large number of devotees from all across the region was graced by the presence of Shri Aaradhaya Baba Ji and Baba Shastri Ji Maharaj.
While speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir congratulated the organisers and called upon the devotees to follow the path shown by holy Geeta, adding that religious teachings are relevant for all times and present day human crisis can be avoided if golden words of religious books are followed in day to day life.
