Problem of stray animals

Sir,
The problem of stray animals mostly lies with cities and towns alongwith surrounding villages. Most of such animals are ownerless.
These stray animals pose  many problems to people and to themselves.
The stray cattle destroy the crop in the fields. They flock around the field and damage the crop. The loss made due to these animals is unrecoverable. It produced scarcity of grains, vegetables and seeds etc.
Such ownerless animals are also responsible for pollution in the cities. They cause insanitation due to de-factation on the roads and streets. Pollution caused by them badly affects the health of human beings by spreading many diseases.
They  affect the traffic movement and cause hindrance for plying  vehicles. Many accidents are  the cause of stray animals.
There is great need to overcome this problem of stray animals. Some non Govt organisations are doing the needful. But these organisation alone cannot be successful. Some municipalities are making efforts to have a check on this problem but the results are not satisfactory. These committees and social volunteer organisations should join hands with each other to save the animals from cruelity. The public should be made aware of the animal right. The cruel owners of these animals should be traced and punished for making them ownerless. Ideal enclosures may also help to reduce the problem. Animal shelters is the need of the hour.
Yours etc…..
