JAMMU, Feb 21: Old Janipur People Development Committee (OJPDC) here today discussed the problems being faced by the people of the area and appealed to the Advisors of the Governor to intervene in the matter.
In a meeting chaired by Kulwant Singh Sambyal, the Committee members demanded that work on Old Janipur Park should be completed soon through some proper agency like Floriculture Department.
Other demands raised in the meeting included opening of J&K Bank branch at Old Janipur, Mohalla Ram Vihar to be covered by sewerage network, black topping at Ward number 35, repair and renovation of lanes and drains, street lights and also the nallah passing through Shant Nagar, Pandoka Colony near Peer Baba.
The issues of Mohalla Indira Vihar and Hari Nagar were also discussed.
Those who were present in the meeting included Jagmohan Singh, Prabhu Dayal, Rakesh Jamwal, Ranjan Dhar, Harnam Singh, P.K Bhat, Brij Mohan Singh, Malap Singh, Sandeep Parihar, Sher Abrol, Vicky Verma, Anil Basin, Sher Singh, Vijay Kumar, Mahinder Kumar, Randheer Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Amreek Singh, Lokesh Singh and others.
