JAMMU: Government today announced that the Agriculture Production Department Kashmir will start procurement of Mushkibudji paddy from sub-division Acchabal , district Anantnag on the rates already approved by the Government at the rate of Rs 8500 per quintal.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting chaired by the Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura here today.
Director Agriculture, Kashmir, Managing Director J K Agro Industries Corporation Ltd, representatives from SKUAST Kashmir and Chief Agriculture Officer were present in the meeting.
The Minister said that this step will change agri production of Mushkbudji and help in revival of lost-genone.
The procurement will start from 2 January 2017.
