JAMMU, June 18: Prof Beena Budki, a distinguished literary figure and social activist from Jammu & Kashmir, was awarded the prestigious Pandit Ravi Kumar Shukula Ismriti Sammaan award during the 23rd Srijan Gatha International Conference, recently held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The accolade was presented by renowned educationalists Maheshwari (chief guest), Dr Savita Mohan, and Jai Prakash Manav. Prof Budki has been a towering presence in the literary and social activism circles.
The event was further marked by the launch of Prof Budki’s two significant books, “Nangi Imarat Ka Balatkar” and “Zindagi Ko Talashte Kinner.”
These works highlight her profound contributions to literature and social discourse, underscoring her commitment to addressing complex societal issues through her writing.
