Prof Ib-ne-Rasa visiting Jammu, Bhaderwah

JAMMU, Oct 28: The son of the soil and former Vice Chancellor of Punjab University Lahore Prof Khairat Mohammad Ib-ne-Rasa is visiting Jammu and Bhaderwah for two weeks from November 2, 2013.
He is coming to his native place Bhaderwah after the gap of 32 years. He will meet some old friends and relatives in Jammu as well as at Bhaderwah during his visit.
Prof Khairat Mohammad Ib-ne-Rasa is the son of legendary Urdu and Kashmiri poet Rasa Javedani and maternal uncle of reputed Urdu writer and columnist Prof Shohab Inayat Malik.
Prof Khairat was born at Bhaderwah on  October 5, 1926. He did his M Sc in Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University. After partition he went to Pakistan from where he proceeded to Brown University America for further studies. He was the first Vice Chancellor of Multan University Pakistan. He also remained Vice Chancellor of Al-Khair University (AJK) and Vice Chancellor of Punjab University Lahore from 1976 to 1984.
Prof Khairat Mohammad Ib-ne-Rasa is an internationally renowned scientist and considered the top most educationist of Pakistan.
