JAMMU, Dec 25: Prof Meena Sharma of Jammu University has been conferred with the prestigious Professor R S Verma Award by The Indian Chemical Society, in recognition to her scholastic contribution to the field of Chemical Sciences.
The award presented to Prof Meena Sharma during the 54th Annual Convention of Chemists, held at Bardoli (Surat) from 23-25 Dec 2017.
Established in 1924, the Indian Chemical Society, Kolkatta is a premier Scientific Society in India and a National Forum for the community of Scientists and other allied disciplines.
Prof Meena Sharma presented her Endowment lecture on the topic “Acoustic and thermodynamic parameters of some metallic nanofluids” in a special session of the convention.
Prof Sharma, who is the senior most faculty in the Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu, has to her credit many administrative and academic achievements. She has guided more than 20 research students and has many research projects and papers in international/ national journals of repute.
