Prof Ogra passes away

Jammu, Dec 9: Prof Avtar Krishan Ogra former Director Centre for Electronics, Design and Technology and a religious scholar breathed his last after a brief illness at his Ahmadabad, Gujarat residence today. He was 82. He is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.
Prior to joining his Central Government assignment, Prof Ogra was teaching Electronics in Regional Engineering College Srinagar now NIT.
A philanthropist, Prof Orga was associated with various socio-religious organizations and has dedicated his entire life for service of mankind. He was founder trustee of Swami Rama Krishna Mahasamelan Ashram Nagdandi, Achabal , Anantnag, Kailash Dham, Chinore Bantalab, active member of various dharmic organizations in Kashmir and South India. Besides a renowned astrologer, he was also a spiritual Guru.
His cremation took place at Ahmedabad this afternoon which was joined by his family members relatives and a large number of his disciples.
