Prof Ranganathan from DTU delivers lecture to SMVDU students

KATRA, Oct 30: Prof Ranganathan M Singari, Founding Head, Department of Design at Delhi Technological University, delivered an online lecture related to various aspects of design.
This session was organized exclusively for the first batch of students of Bachelor of Design at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.
SMVDU is the first university in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir to offer a Bachelor of Design course. The talk aimed to introduce the key principles, methodologies, and trends in design, providing students with a solid foundation for understanding how design can shape industries and impact the world around us.
The session provided students with invaluable insights into the world of design and its significance in both academia and industry. Prof Ranganathan M Singari introduced core design principles and inspired students to think critically about how design shapes our world. The talk was also attended by Monica Singh (DTU, New Delhi). Prof Ankush Anand (Coordinator, Bachelor of Design), Abhiney Gupta (Head School of Architecture), Dr Mir Irfan Ul Haq (Assistant Professor, SME) also attended the session.
