JAMMU, Dec 28: Prof Santanu Maitra and Professor Joy J Goto from Department of Chemistry, California State University, USA, delivered lectures in the seminar hall of Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu, here today.
Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu in his address said that everyone is at risk of being adversely affected by neurotoxin substances, but individuals in certain age groups, states of health, and occupations face a greater probability of adverse effects.
Prof Joy J Goto spoke on Motion and Muscles: Biochemical Effects of an Environmental Neurotoxin whereas Dr Santanu Maitra on Alzheimer’s Disease and Apolipoprotein E: Chemist’s Approach with Small Organic Molecules.
Earlier, Prof Renu Sachar, Head of Department, Chemistry introduced the speakers to the audience.
Among others present were Prof Manoj Dhar, Controller of Examinations, Prof Meena Sharma, Prof VK Kapoor, scholars and students.
