JAMMU, Apr 23: The Higher Education Department today accorded sanction to the appointment of Prof Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, Nodal Principal, AS College Srinagar as Inquiry Officer (IO) to inquire into certain allegations against Dr Nadeem Bashir, Assistant Professor (Chemistry) Government College of Women, Nawakadal, Srinagar.
As per an order, the Dr Nadeem Bashir attended the SERB International Research Experience (SIRE) without obtaining formal approval of the competent authority.
As such, the Inquiry Officer, Prof Sheikh Ajaz Bashir will enquire how the officer attended the SIRE without obtaining formal approval of the competent authority and whether he had taken permission from the Controlling Officer (concerned Principal) for leaving without formal approval, and if so, how has the Controlling Officer allowed him to leave without formal approval of the Government.
The IO shall furnish his report in the matter within 15 days to the Administrative Department, said the order.
