Programme held on ‘Revitalizing personality through meditation’

JAMMU, Sept 28: Brahmakumaris State Centre and Sports Wing in association with Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation organized a programme on ‘Revitalizing personality through meditation and spiritual practices rather than drugs’, at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi and also at the Centre near B C Road.
B K Poonam, executive member of sport wing, had specially arrived from Chandigarh for the programme, She explained how a sport person can get success by adopting meditation. She also informed about the tremendous changes witnessed among the players after adopting meditation, which is equally important as the diet, physical exercise and daily practice.
Rajyogini B K Sudershan Didi, Zonal Coordinator of the Sport wing and director of Brahmakumaris J&K, stressed that a sports person should possess the value of discipline, fearlessness, truth, patience, humility etc. She gave the example of Bharat Ratna cricketer Sachin Tendular who never lost temper while playing on the ground.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, who was chief guest on the occasion, said that sports wing of RERF was playing a very important role.
The School Principal, Neelam Sharma, said that such programmes are important for not only the youth but people of all age groups in the society.
Sukh Dev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sport Officer Jammu, announced that best possible would be done to inculcate the values and practice of meditation in the Sport Department.
B K Naina delivered welcome address and threw light on the organization.
