JAMMU, Aug 11: A meeting of Mahila Congress Jammu North under the leadership of Anuradha Sharma was held at Janipur here in which Shameema Raina, the newly appointed president of JK Pradesh Mahila Congress was the chief guest.
The issues of poor people with regard to unprecedented rise of prices of essential commodities including petrol, diesel, gas, widow pension, cries of food grains, Smart Meters, excess bills of electricity, drinking water problem, unemployment and many other burning issues were highlighted.
With one voice every worker pressed for their genuine demands and in future they pledged to fight for the cause of poor and down trodden people and for their genuine demands.
The meeting was attended by large number of Mahila Congress workers and some senior citizens. Prominent among them included- Asha Chandan, Chander Prabha, Kamlesh Manhas, Kamni, Kiran Bala, Sarita Komal, Neelam, Himanshu, Raghubir Pal, Rajan, Pummy, Shashi Dutta, Ranjana, Ashu Verun and others.
