JAMMU, Jan 13: The prestigious project of connecting Ladakh region with Kashmir region with 220 Kv transmission system has been successfully completed.
JKPDD and Power Grid test charged 220 Kv Alusteng-Dras-Kargil-Khalsti-Leh (325 kms) transmission line along with 220/66 kV Sub-stations at Drass, Kargil, Khalsti and Leh.
The transmission system will provide power to power deficient region of Ladakh in winter season and evacuate surplus power in summer season.
