Prominent social activists join BJP in presence of Billawaria, others

JAMMU, Apr 19: Prominent social activists, Captain, (retd) Kamal Singh and Diwakar Singh along with hundreds of their supporters joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the leadership of Deputy Mayor Jammu and senior BJP leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria here at Ward 43, Nanak Nagar today.
Deputy Mayor, Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria welcomed Captain (retd) Kamal Singh and his supporters in the party. Local corporator, Surjeet Choudhary (Pappu), State Kisan Morcha, vice president, Harbans Choudhary, district secretary, Pammi Chowdhary, Indu Puri and other senior BJP leaders were present on the occasion.
In his address Billawaria said that the party will be benefited with the joining of social workers like Captain (retd) Kamal Singh and Diwakar Singh. He said that social workers Kamal Singh and Diwakar Singh are always ready to help the poor, deprived and common people. Deputy Mayor said, “We are working on the slogan of our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi , ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. On this occasion, Kamal Singh said that he expressed his faith in BJP to bring change in Nanak Nagar area and took membership under the leadership of Baldev Singh Billawaria.
Later, Deputy Mayor also listened to the problems of the people of Ward 43 Nanak Nagar, in which the main problem of some left out construction work of the deep drain was to be made complete. Local residents said that due to non-completion of the construction work of the deep drain, the problem of water logging persists in the area. Billawaria assured the public that their problems would be taken up on priority basis and all possible steps would be taken to solve them.
The Deputy Mayor assured the locals that the work of the deep drain would be started soon so that the people could get rid of the problem of water logging.
Deputy Mayor Jammu said that the problem of the people will be resolved with the cooperation of local corporator, Surjeet Choudhary.
He assured the people that several other projects in the area would be started soon and would be completed in a time bound manner. The Deputy Mayor further said that the Municipal Corporation will take all necessary steps to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation in the Ward.
