Promote pilgrim-tourism in Sunderbani, Nowshera: Ex-MLC

JAMMU, July 25:  Chief spokesperson of JKPCC  Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) stressed the  need  to  create  infrastructure  for  pilgrim-tourism and promoting religious tourism to create  proper facilities for the devotees’ at important religious and historical places.
Interacting with local people and large number of devotees at Dandesar to attend  function at Baba Bhiaro Dev Sthan, Mr Sharma said that creating  adequate facilities at important religious places would increase tourism and economic activities besides bringing religious and social harmony and peace. He said that there are religious and other historical places which lack facilities for the pilgrims and tourism in Nowshera-Sunderebani area enroute Budha Amarnath.
The devotees and local people  expressed  gratitude to former MLC for construction of hall at Dandesar  for the pilgrims out of his CD Fund.  Mr Sharma had provided funds to the tune of Rs 9 lakh out of his CDF for the construction of hall, which has been constructed now.
He said that creating  such type facilities on Jammu-Poonch highway, right from Sunderbani was aimed at providing shelter accommodation to local devotees, social gatherings and more particular for the  pilgrims visiting Budha Amarnath shrine.
The Ex-MLC disclosed that he had provided funds to the tune of Rs 19.50 lakh for  Amarnath Yatri Hall  which is nearing completion at Sunderbani. He urged upon the Govt to promote and provide facilities for the pilgrims at various  important  shrines and places in  Nowshera-Sunderbani area.
