JAMMU, Dec 31: J&K Education Minister must address critical concerns raised by students, teachers, and the society.
This was stated by J&K BJP spokesperson, Rajni Sethi while addressing media persons along with secretary, Anju Dogra and spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan here today.
“Transparency and accountability in decision-making is essential, particularly regarding key issues such as the roadmap for transfer policy of teachers, regularization and policies for daily wager teachers in schools,” she said.
The BJP leader also said that rural schools require immediate attention to bridge the gap of quality in education between urban and rural areas.
“There is an urgent need to promote regional identities and culture through education. Dogri as a compulsory subject in Jammu schools and Sufism in Kashmir schools would preserve the unique heritage of both the regions,” she maintained adding: “These steps would foster unity and cultural understanding among the students.”
Sethi also said that a subject on disadvantages of Article 370 should also be included in school books of J&K so that the students too should know about the discrimination meted out to various sections under the garb of this special provision.
