Sir,
Back to basics and back to nature is what fascinates and impresses the societies in our country in good measure. There is a craving for getting things in their natural and unadulterated form. Organic goods are now much in demand even though costly. Promoting Khadi and popularizing the Khadi movement is the need of the hour, the dream seen long back by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. The problem in the Khadi manufacturing and Khadi goods is to stick to the purity and quality standards to make it more attractive not only in Indian markets but also for export purposes. Feeling the need, the President Pranab Mukherjee launched a “logo” of Khadi mark in New Delhi a few days back. He said that the logo would serve the purpose for branding of the Khadi items. Such a branding would ensure the purity and the quality of Khadi items. Now, taking or adopting Khadi mark shall be necessary for selling Khadi items.
Let each one of us one or the other item of Khadi to ensure cotton growing intensely and providing employment to millions in the country side.
Yours etc…
