On the eve of the Teachers Day celebrations, had Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed while addressing the students and faculty members said that he is going to introduce inservice departmental examination for promotion to various cadres in School Education Department.
It is requested to reserve at least 20 percent of Combined Administrative Services (KAS/KPS/Acctts. Officers) posts for School Education Department Lecturers below the age of 45 years so that they may compete for the posts along with the fresh candidates. In this way young qualified and experienced Post Graduate candidates (Lecturers) will be there for better efficiency in the Administration and more and more talented candidates will join the Department of School Education as Lecturers.
Also there should be a Departmental Examination to be conducted by Public Service Commission through which Principals, CEOs, Jt. Directors may be Promoted/Appointed by the Department.
Moreover, all the posts of JK BOSE be filled up from the School Education Department for the better efficiency. Also, it is submitted that all the Principals of 10+2 Schools and the lecturers who work in the Summer/Winter Vacations be included in the non vocation category so that they may able to earn earned leave under rules.
