JAMMU, Mar 7: The Government today ordered promotions and adjustments, in the Law Department.
Five Deputy Legal Remembrancers have been promoted as Additional Secretary while six Assistant Legal Remembrancers are promoted as Deputy Legal Remembrancers and five Legal Assistants as Public Law Officers.
According to an order, Deputy Legal Remembrancers Muzaffar Ahmad Wani and Achal Sethi have been promoted as Additional Secretaries and adjusted in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs against the available posts.
Deputy Legal Remembrancer Abdul Rashid Fayaz has been promoted as Additional Secretary and posted in the Forest Department, Jang Bhadur promoted as Additional Secretary and posted as Joint Registrar, State Information Commission, while as Tanveen Mufti promoted as Additional Secretary/ Director Litigation and posted as Director Litigation Kashmir against an available post.
Those promoted as Deputy Legal Remembrancer, included Ishtiyaq Ahmad, Showkat Ahmad Mir, Villy Koul, Gh Nabi Mir, Baldev Raj and Sajjad Amin Shah.
Consequent upon their promotion, Ishtiyaq Ahmed has been posted in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs while Showkat Ahmad Mir and Villy Koul have been adjusted in GAD and CAPD, respectively.
Gh Nabi Mir, Baldev Raj and Sajjad Amin Shah have been posted in office of Excise Commissioner, Accountability Commission and Rural Development Department, respectively.
The Legal Assistants, promoted as Public Law Officers, are; Nar Singh, Kulbhushan Singh, Suymia Mir, Javeeda Akhter and Vikas Chander.
On promotion, Nar Singh has been posted in Jammu Municipal Corporation while Kulbushan Singh and Mir Suymia Mir are adjusted in the office of Advocate General and Director General Accounts and Treasuries, respectively.
Both Mir Javeeda Akhter and Vikas Chandan have been posted in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
