JAMMU, Mar 24: Police today attached properties of three drug peddlers, which were illegally acquired through the proceeds of drug trafficking.
A police spokesperson said that one double-storey and another triple-storey house belonging to a couple, Pal Singh and Seema and another woman Reena alias Roopa, worth several crores were attached by a team of Police in Rajeev Nagar area of Narwal.
“The residential houses attached were identified as illegally acquired through the proceeds of drug trafficking by the police,” he said.
According to him, the drug peddlers, whose houses were attached, were involved in several cases of illicit trafficking in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances registered at Bahu Fort Police Station.
“This operation reaffirms the commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police to combat the drug menace with full force,” he said.
The residents of Narwal area, according to the police spokesperson, have hailed the police for taking action against the drug traffickers.
