SRINAGAR, Jan 30: Police in Kulgam today seized the property of a drug peddler under the NDPS Act.
According to authorities, the property is an under-construction house on Shamilat land measuring 4 marlas, bearing survey No. 220.
The property attached, police said, belongs to a notorious drug peddler named Aijaz Ahmad Ganie, son of late Ghulam Ahmad Ganie and resident of Gadihama, Kulgam.
The property was flagged as illegally acquired during the investigation/enquiry conducted by Kulgam Police, authorities stated.
“The property was prima facie acquired from the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the owner,” said the police.
It was highlighted that the mentioned drug peddler is involved in Case FIR number 184/2020 and FIR number 83/2022 at Police Station Kulgam.
