Srinagar, Nov 19: Police in South Kashmir’s Kulgam today attached a double-storeyed residential house, along with 15 marlas of land, belonging to a drug peddler under the NDPS Act.
According to police, the residential property, valued at approximately Rs 1 crore, belongs to a notorious drug peddler, Mohd Ashraf Bhat, son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat, a resident of Rehpora Khudwani, Kulgam.
The attachment was carried out under Section 68-F(2) of the NDPS Act, 1985, police said.
“The property was prima facie acquired through illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the owner,” police stated.
The accused drug peddler is currently lodged at Central Jail Kupwara and is involved in case FIR number 43/2023 of Police Station Qazigund.
