Property of notorious drug peddler confiscated

BANDIPORA, July 20: Police here today confiscated the property of a notorious peddler of narcotic substances in Takiya Chewa village.
The peddler has been identified as Bashir Ahmed Chopan, son of Ab Ahad Chopan, resident of Takiya Chewa, Sumbal.
An official said that the confiscated property included a single-storey residential house along with 6 marla land which authorities claim was made from the sale of narcotics.
The action was initiated in a case registered in FIR with number 43/2019 under NDPS Act at Police Station Sumbal.
Meanwhile, Bandipora Police has also confiscated a motorcycle with registration number JK05A-9722 belonging to a drug peddler Umar Mohammad Guro, son of Gh Mohammad Guro, resident of Naninara Sumbal as proceeds of the sale of narcotics and a case under NDPS Act was registered in this regard at Police Station Sumbal.
