SRINAGAR: Property worth crores of rupees has been damaged in a devastating fire in Srinagar outskirts during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, official sources said.
They said fire broke out in a timber shop at Chanapora Bypass in Srinagar.
However, before the fire tenders could reach there, fire spread to adjoining shops. About a ten shops, mostly selling timber and other wood products, were gutted in the fire.
The cause of fire was not immediately known, they said adding the loss would be in crores. No one was injured in the incident. (agencies)
