Property worth crores destroyed in Kashmir fire

SRINAGAR, Feb 5: Property worth crores of rupees were destroyed in a devastating fire in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said here this evening. They said that fire broke out in a house in densely populated Baramulla old town.
Fire tenders from different parts of Baramulla and neighbouring districts were rushed to spot to control the leaping flames, clearly visible from a distance.
Eight houses were damaged in the fire which was brought under control after about an hour-long struggle. The cause of fire was not known, they said, adding that no one was injured.
