JAMMU, Oct 1: Property worth several lakhs was gutted in fire, which broke out in a gym near New Plot, here today.
As per police sources, a fire broke out probably due to short circuit in a gym near New Plot today afternoon.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and informed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
Fire fighters along with tenders reached the spot and after putting in hectic efforts doused the flames, but till then property worth several lakhs got damaged.
In the ablaze, one split AC with stabilizer, ten rubber mats, shoulder hummer machine, ground pulley machine and electrical wiring were partially damaged.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Rehari police has taken cognizance in this regards.
The fire fighting operation was led by DFO Gandhi Nagar Pritam Lal under the supervision of Deputy Director Command Jammu RC Raina.
