JAMMU, Dec 21: A fire broke out in the display centre of J&K Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP) at Exhibition Ground, resulting into loss of property worth several lakhs of rupees. As per police sources, fire broke out in the display centre of J&K Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP) at Exhibition Ground this morning. On getting information, police team from Nowabad police station led by SHO Karan Chalotra rushed to the spot and fire fighters were pressed into service to douse the flames. After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control. Two fire tenders were used to douse the flames. No casualty or injury has been reported in the incident. In the incident, property worth several lakhs got gutted, but exact amount of loss has not been ascertained yet. A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Nowabad police station and investigation started to ascertain the cause behind the incident.
