NOWSHERA, Feb 12: Public here today staged a protest demonstration against Jal Shakti Department as there was no water supply in the area and Middle School having a strength of 160 also suffered due to this.
The protesters informed that Middle School Pacca Makan is without water for the last ten years.
“Due to non-availability of water student are suffering badly and have to carry water from a distance of 2 kms,” they maintained demanding restoration of water supply to the School.
The protest was led by Kanav Verma, social activist and was joined by locals and students.
Protesters informed that the concerned department is doing nothing to restore water supply in the area.
They demanded intervention from J&K LG and DC Rajouri.
