RAJOURI, Jan 18: Residents of Mangota held strong protest against Power Development Department (PDD) as the local authorities failed to connect 63 KV electric transformer with the village power line.
The protest was led by former Sarpanch Mohd Hussain and the inhabitants of Mohra Tulli Wali ward No -07 of Panchayat Mangota of Thannamandi joined. They raised slogans against PDD and alleged that in 2021 four lakhs sanctioned for installation of 63 KV transformer for supply of power to the public of ward No 7.
He added that the department installed electric transformer in 2021 and the public is waiting for installation of Poles and wire to restore power. He told that public is facing lot of problems without power as the student suffer badly without power and their study suffer badly. Locals appealed the DC Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat to intervene into the matter and provide 12 poles and wire to restore power.
