RAJOURI, Aug 21: The people from Khandli area of Rajouri, who were facing water scarcity for the last two months expressed their anger by protesting today against the department.
They raised slogans against the Jal Shakti Department. They told that the problem should be resolved at the earliest as they were suffering badly. As no water supply is provided in this area of Rajouri for the last several weeks, the public was suffering badly.
The protest was led by Farooq Choudhary Congress leader and accompanied by Rashpal Thakur, Dr Jawaid , Adv Imran Khan and others. They said almost 3000 connections are connected with tube well which is located in Khandli but and public suffering badly due to non supply of water.
The protesters appealed the Lieutenant Governor to direct the concerned department to complete the bore well work at the earliest so that the problem can be resolved.
