RAJOURI, June 7: The people from Dandesar village in Rajouri, held protest against PHE authorities and blocked Jammu-Poonch highway today.
The villagers led by Sarpanch Dandesar, Suraj Parkash assembled on the road at the village at around 12.30 pm and stalled movement of vehicles. They were shouting slogans against the PHE authorities for its failure to provide water supply to the people of this area for the last two weeks.
The people sat on dharna on the road and the movement of the vehicles remained stranded for about an hour. Later, with the intervention of police the road was cleared.
