UDHAMPUR, Dec 6: The  villagers from Landhar and Pancheri area held strong protest against, PMGSY department for  the worst condition of the road Udhampur- Pancheri- Landhar- Galiote and demanded repair and black topping of the road without any more delay.
The protesting  villagers said that the work of PMGSY agency of R&B Department was going on at very slow pace. The road is about 60 kms in length. There are four Nallahs on this road and people have to face a lot of problems as there is no bridge over them. The condition of the road at many places is very bad. The agency is least bothered about the plight of the road users.
They further alleged that the condition of road is more worst from Kenth Gali to Landhar. Broken road surfaces have not been repaired by the contractors engaged on the up-gradation of this road. Even the potholes have not been filled up with good earth, causing lot of damage to the vehicles using this hilly road. They urged the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur to take cognizance of the matter.
